Frequently asked questions

What is an e-prescription?

An e-prescription is the digital version of a traditional paper prescription. It must include the designation “e-prescription” and a QR code. If the designation “e-prescription” is missing, it is not an officially recognised digital prescription. Further information can be found at e-rezept.ch.

Up to 20% discount on generic medicines subject to a prescription charge

If generic versions of your medicine are available, we will automatically show them to you. Of course, you can also choose the original product. You can save up to 20% on generics from the manufacturers Mepha, Sandoz, Spirig, Teva and Zentiva.

No pharmacy charges for self-pay patients!

When claims are settled directly with health and accident insurance funds, additional pharmacy charges (“LOA fees”) apply. If you pay for your medicines yourself, we waive these fees. You can, of course, subsequently submit the cost of the medication to your health insurance provider for reimbursement.

Order today, delivered tomorrow - free delivery!

Delivery is generally free of charge. If you order your medicines before 3 pm, we will deliver them the next day via Swiss Post or courier. Swiss Post delivers to your letterbox, whilst the courier usually hands over the parcel in person. We send temperature-sensitive or expensive medicines (over CHF 500) as well as narcotics by registered post.

Can refrigerated items be sent by post?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to send refrigerated items by post. The city of Zurich is an exception: there, we deliver refrigerated items by bicycle courier. The medicines must be collected in person. Delivery is carried out in strict compliance with the cold chain. Alternatively, refrigerated items can be collected from the pharmacy at any time. To do so, please select ‘Collect from the pharmacy’.

What does the pharmacy do before dispatching your order?

Your e-prescription will be checked by a pharmacist: Is the dosage correct? How should the medication be taken? Are there any interactions? Is any of the medication unsuitable? If necessary, we will contact you or consult the prescribing doctor.
